Director's Vision

I envision the film with a cinematic look that positions Kuwait on the global stage:

  • Epic widescreen visuals of the Arabian Gulf, capturing its majesty, danger, and beauty.
  • Emotional, intimate close-ups using oval bokeh and soft anamorphic flares to highlight generational connection.
  • A color palette inspired by old Kuwaiti homes, sea foam greens, desert warmth, and stormy blues.
  • Full-frame Sony digital cine cameras + Anamorphic lenses to give the film a global, timeless cinematic identity.
  • VFX, CGI, and A.I. to elevate sea sequences, storms, and flashbacks to the highest international standard while honoring historical authenticity.

As a filmmaker who has spent over two decades crafting stories between Kuwait and Hollywood, my mission has always been to create films that entertain, inspire, and preserve identity. With this project, I aim to deliver a film that speaks to every generation — a story rooted in Kuwait's cultural soul, yet told with the cinematic language of global adventure.

This film is my tribute to the Kuwait I grew up in: the Kuwait of grandfathers' stories, pearl divers' bravery, neighborhood camaraderie, and a deep respect for the sea — the sea that shaped our ancestors and still shapes who we are.

Tone & Experience

The film carries a light comedic heart, a family-friendly adventure spirit, and a deep emotional core. It's designed to make audiences laugh, cry, and discover. I want families — grandparents, parents, children — to walk out feeling closer to one another.

The tone echoes films like Moana, Life of Pi, and The Goonies blended with Kuwaiti cultural authenticity and humor unique to our people.

A Cultural Legacy

This film is more than entertainment. It is an act of preservation, a love letter to Kuwait, and a statement that our stories deserve to be told with the same beauty and ambition as any film on the global stage. Through this project, I want to inspire young Kuwaitis to rediscover their heritage, feel proud of their identity, and believe that their stories can reach the world.

This is Kuwait's first family sea adventure film — and I intend for it to open the door for many more.
